Samhita provides a wide range of CSR related services which can be executed independently of or in combination with, each other. We offer clients the option of deciding exactly how much the company involves itself with social initiatives – from a light-touch approach to an intensive involvement.

Our service engagements involve a high amount of customization based on the client’s need and we often offer related services connected with those mentioned below, though not specifically listed. For example, in addition to the services listed below, we offer corporates the ability to create online social awards campaigns on www.samhita.org, where we invite online applications from NGOs and select NGOs based on criteria that may be mentioned by the client.

  • Provide receipts, reports and feedback to all those engaged in the campaign
Corporate social marketing 
  • Identify a cause that leverages your company’s core business, employee interests and marketing strategy 
  • Select credible, knowledgeable NGOs as partners 
  • Develop, implement and publicize the campaign in collaboration with the NGO partners 
  • Track, measure and report the outcomes of the campaign
Employee volunteering 
  • Define the employee engagement strategy 
  • Perform needs assessment that takes into account management priorities, employee competencies and interests, budget, etc. 
  • Select NGOs and/or projects 
  • Structure and facilitate volunteering activities 
  • Conduct NGO and employee satisfaction surveys to measure efficacy of engagement 
Payroll giving 
  • Conduct employee survey to understand giving preferences 
  • Coordinate pooling of funds with the HR/ Accounts department 
  • Provide 80 G receipts and annual reports on usage of funds

Samhita Social Ventures is a professionally managed social enterprise supported by Infosys co-founder N. S. Raghavan.

Beauty for a cause campaign


Samhita was the official charity partner for Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2011's social initiative, 'Beauty for a Cause'. Beauty for a Cause was a cause related marketing effort where Miss India contestants had to pledge for and support a social cause. Samhita conceptualized the format and implemented the entire campaign.

Online grants management for EdelGive Foundation

EdelGive Foundation is the strategic CSR arm of financial services company Edelweiss Capital Limited. The Foundation organises the EdelGive Social Innovation Honours (ESIH) every year to award innovative NGOs in different categories. Samhita facilitated the ESIH 2011 and managed the online grants application process for the Foundation, and is similarly facilitating ESIH 2012 this year.
